Hey you guys, it's none other than your friendly neighbourhood Screen Rant again!

It's now been confirmed that Quentin Beck AKA Mysterio will be the main villain in next year's Spider-Man: Far From Home movie - and he'll be played by Academy Award nominee Jake Gyllenhaal (of Donnie Darko, Brokeback Mountain and Southpaw fame).

There is, however, a theory that he'll be working on behalf of someone more powerful than himself, given that he's not exactly the most powerful threat Spider-Man has ever encountered in the comic books - and in this video, we'll be discussing why that's the case and who his master could be.

The potential masters in question are; Adrian Toomes AKA the Vulture (who was played by Michael Keaton in 2017's Spider-Man: Homecoming and will reappear in Far From Home), Norman Osborn (who hasn't appeared in the MCU yet, but who could be a major villain going forward in the franchise), Loki (who's been played by Tom Hiddleston in the MCU since 2011's Thor movie), Dormammu (who appeared in 2016's Doctor Strange movie, where he was voiced by Benedict Cumberbatch), and Thanos (who's the current big-bad in the MCU and is voiced by Josh Brolin, having first appeared in the mid-credits scene of 2012's Avengers movie).

So the first Avengers 4 trailer just dropped and it's official - the Infinity War sequel is going to be called Avengers: Endgame! EXCITING, RIGHT?!?!

That WAS one of the many previously touted titles that fans had been predicting, but that doesn't mean we're any less excited about it now that it's been confirmed!

It really is certain to be an exciting emotional rollercoaster ride of a movie - and we simply can't wait to see it!

But what exactly does that title mean for the movie? In this video, we'll be theorising about that.

It's obviously a call-back to the fact both Tony Stark (in 2015's Avengers: Age of Ultron) and Doctor Strange (in this year's Avengers: Infinity War) have used the term in the MCU before - and that would certainly suggest those two characters will be particularly important in this movie.

"Endgame" is a chess term, when only a few pieces are left on the board - which would suggest the surviving heroes have some kind of chess-esque strategy planned in order to defeat Thanos and undo what he did in Infinity War.

The word "end" also suggests death, so there WILL be heartbreak, but the word "game" suggests there might be some fun moments to offset that a little! We will have to wait and see!

We haven't seen Jeremy Renner's Clint Barton since 2016's epic Captain America: Civil War movie, so it's extremely exciting that he'll be making his MCU return in 2019's Avengers: Endgame.

That's a huge movie for any character to play a part in, given the cosmic nature of the events that will undoubtedly unfold in it - but for a guy who's completely human and non-superpowered like Barton, it might seem a bit above his paygrade and beyond his ability to play a major part in.

But there's actually a theory suggesting he's actually going to be a BIG player in Avengers: Endgame - and that he might even end up being the MVP in the fightback against Thanos.

In this video, we'll be taking you through some convincing evidence that shows that might be the case.

The reasons for this theory are; that the trailer made him a focal point, that he's changed his persona from Hawkeye to Ronin (which seems like a waste of time if he's only going to play a minor part), that he was completely absent from Avengers: Infinity War (suggesting an epic return is on the cards), that he's angry and has nothing to lose (after his family were erased from existence in The Decimation), that there's evidence to suggest he gets recruited late in the movie as a trump card of sorts, that he played down his own worth in 2015's Avengers: Age of Ultron (which could have been a form of "reverse psychology" as far as foreshadowing his importance was concerned), and that his abilities are suited to taking opponents (i.e. Thanos) by surprise.

When next year's fourth Avengers movie comes to its inevitably thrilling climax, the Marvel Cinematic Universe will never be the same - it's expected to undergo some BIG changes.

One of those changes is, potentially, the introduction of characters who were previously unavailable for use by Marvel Studios - thanks largely to Disney's imminent acquisition of Fox.

The mutants known as the X-Men are certainly the highest-profile of those expected new arrivals, but the Fantastic Four may well join the MCU as well - and in this video, we'll be theorising just one of the many ways in which Marvel's first family could be introduced.

It involves the Quantum Realm - the subatomic dimension that was introduced to MCU audiences in 2015's Ant-Man movie (and which is expected to play a big part in the franchise going forward, not least in the aforementioned Avengers 4).

So, in the MCU, instead of getting their powers from space like in the comics and the first Fantastic Four movie franchise, or from the Negative Zone like in the 2015 Fant4stic reboot, could Reed Richards (Mister Fantastic), Ben Grimm (The Thing), Sue Storm (Invisible Woman) and Johnny Storm (Human Torch) get their powers from the Quantum Realm? It's certainly a distinct possibility!

British actor Tom Holland makes a great Spider-Man (and indeed a great Peter Parker), doesn't he?

He's been in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for more than two years now, having first appeared in the franchise in 2016's brilliant Captain America: Civil War, when he was recruited by Tony Stark to be a member of his pro-Sokovia Accords team - but the first prominent character to find out about him in the MCU might actually surprise you (at least if this extremely interesting theory is to be believed).

In this video, we'll be discussing the idea that Captain America knew about Spider-Man before everyone else including Tony Stark - in the MCU.

The theory stems from the scene in Captain America: Civil War in which Cap dropped a skybridge on Spidey at the airport in Stuttgart. Why would he do that if he didn't know he was strong enough to catch it? Spidey hadn't displayed his true strength in that fight up to that point - and it would have killed him if he couldn't (and Cap's not a murderer).

Was Cap looking to recruit Spidey into the Avengers or into his anti-Sokovia Accords team? Had he seen him in action prior to the events of Captain America: Civil War? It's definitely a possibility if this theory is to be believed.

Sony's Venom movie is now in theatres and a lot of people are getting really excited about it - but it's still undoubtedly a little disappointing that it's not officially part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

That being said, Eddie Brock himself - talented British actor Tom Hardy - recently spoke about the fact that he'd enjoy seeing his character crossing paths with the Avengers in live action on the big screen.

But could that ever really happen? That's what we're here to discuss with this video!

Sony and Disney would have to come to an agreement first - like they did with regards to Spider-Man, for example - because Venom's movie rights are currently with the former of those companies.

The gore and violence would also have to be toned down - because it's hard to see Venom's murderous and cannibalistic nature fitting in with the MCU's PG movies!

Then there's the question of the manner in which their worlds would collide and whether or not he'd be an Avengers ally or antagonist.

Essentially, there's a lot to consider - and it certainly won't be an easy thing to make happen!

Tom Hardy is bringing Venom to the big screen in the aptly named movie “Venom” this year. The decision to even make this movie felt pretty strange to a lot of people since Venom is so intrinsically linked to Spider-Man, and Spider-Man is now sitting comfortably in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But even though Sony is doing their own thing with Venom doesn’t necessarily mean that we won’t see another version of Venom in the MCU. In fact, that version may have already been introduced! In this theory battle, we take a look at how Marvel may have sneakily already introduced the Venom symbiote into the universe of the Avengers. One of us argues that it was introduced in Spider-Man: Homecoming, and the other, in Thor: Ragnarok.
