When Venom was announced, when Venom was filming, and when Venom was released, all anyone could talk about was the inclusion of Spider-Man. Would there be an Easter Egg. A secret meeting between the two. How could Sony do a Venom movie without Peter Parker?! Well, they pulled it off. Not even a mention of Spider-Man, Parker, or Mary-Jane. They avoided Spidey like the plague, but fans are still desperate to see a connection between the two. And will they get it? Maybe, but not in the way you’d like. According to some theories, Spider-Man may already be dead in Venom’s world -- and no we’re not talking Thanos’s finger snap. This death would be way before that.

Watch as we break down the movie, some of the key scenes, and present you a theory about why Spider-Man is dead and who the potential replacement will be. If you’ve seen Venom, then you can put these pieces together and see how a dead Spider-Man makes a whole lot of sense. Without Peter Parker in the picture, we may see how a new Spider-Man steps up to the plate and takes on Venom in the future. Either way, with every new Venom movie, people will try to find some type of Spider-Man connection and eventually there will be one. Watch to see this connection and then comment below if you agree! Sony's Venom movie is now in theatres and a lot of people are getting really excited about it - but it's still undoubtedly a little disappointing that it's not officially part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

That being said, Eddie Brock himself - talented British actor Tom Hardy - recently spoke about the fact that he'd enjoy seeing his character crossing paths with the Avengers in live action on the big screen.

But could that ever really happen? That's what we're here to discuss with this video!

Sony and Disney would have to come to an agreement first - like they did with regards to Spider-Man, for example - because Venom's movie rights are currently with the former of those companies.

The gore and violence would also have to be toned down - because it's hard to see Venom's murderous and cannibalistic nature fitting in with the MCU's PG movies!

Then there's the question of the manner in which their worlds would collide and whether or not he'd be an Avengers ally or antagonist.

Essentially, there's a lot to consider - and it certainly won't be an easy thing to make happen!

When it comes to comic book movies, Venom is, without any shadow of a doubt, one of the most contentious characters in recent history.

The character has been portrayed by both American actor Topher Grace (in 2007's Spider-Man 3) and British star Tom Hardy (in this year's Venom) on the big screen - and both portrayals have received at least as much criticism as they have praise (probably more, in fact).

In this video, we'll be taking a look at both live action versions of the character and deciding which one is the best.

We'll be looking at factors like the initial reactions to the respective castings, how the actors performed as Eddie Brock, how the actors performed as Venom, the quality of the movies in which they appeared, the level of power their characters displayed, the power/worthiness of their respective opponents (Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man in the case of Topher Grace and Riz Ahmed's Riot in the case of Tom Hardy), and the critical and fan reception to the final product.

Maximum Carnage is coming to a theatre near you in the not too distant future. While we have no release date yet, we’re all eagerly awaiting any news concerning Carnage’s big screen debut. He was teased during the after credits of Tom Hardy’s Venom, which Eddie Brock visiting Cletus Kasady in prison. But even though we know he’s coming, we can’t help but be worried about Hardy’s Venom, because Carnage is one overpowered symbiote. He has a bunch of powers Venom doesn’t, and those powers are so much stronger, we feel bad that Venom doesn’t have them! These powers include the ability to shrink himself down to the molecular level, which is handy for breaking out of prison. He’s also immune to any illnesses found on earth and can’t be poisoned either thanks to his amazing immune system. He’s stronger than both Venom and Spider-Man combined, so Eddie is really going to need backup in his sequel. The Carnage symbiote acts as one giant eye, which means that he can see all around him at all times. He’s also a bit of a vampire, feeding off of people to survive in some comic arcs. He can use physic abilities to control the host’s mind, implant memories and even control other people. That also lends him the ability to create more Carnage’s and have them be controlled with a hive mind. All symbiotes are weak to sonic attacks, but Carnage found a way to get rid of that weakness. Like Logan and Deadpool, he has healing powers and can craft sharp weapons out of his symbiote suit to throw at his enemies. Talk about overpowered!

Venom was unleashed in his first ever solo movie starring Tom Hardy, but whether you’ve seen the movie or not -- you may be a little confused about what type of powers Venom actually has. Sure, we all know he can plant himself as a host to other humans, but what exactly makes Venom so powerful?! Well, today, we’ll break everything down for you, showcase you the exact powers seen in the movies and some of the powers the movie may have left out!

One of Venom’s biggest powers is his ability to have superhuman strength. He can scale buildings, take out bodies, and bust through walls. While the small pile of slime can’t do much on its own -- once the symbiote is attached to a host, it creates a number of shapeshifting abilities including the intimidating Venom look we know from both the movie and comic book. As seen in Venom and the comics, Venom doesn’t like a host to be injured or weak. Thankfully, the alien creature has the ability to heal their host, making them healthy again -- especially after a lengthy battle. While in the comics, Venom connects himself to Peter Parker -- giving him some pretty sweet web-slinging abilities. With the absence of Parker and Spider-Man, these abilities are not present in the movie, but he does retain some of his ability to sense things out in different situations. Watch to learn all about Venom’s powers, what you may see in Venom 2, and how the powers were portrayed on the big screen by Tom Hardy and a group of special effects artists.

When Venom was announced and went into production, many fans were anticipating a lot more than just a stand alone movie. Because of Sony’s connection with Spider-Man in the MCU, many were expecting the same treatment for Venom, but this was not the case. Venom stands on his own, without the Tom Holland version of Spider-Man and many fans were disappointed not to see the two characters collide.

But was there a whole different kind of connection in Sony’s Venom?! Was the company so fed up with the MCU that they branched out into another cinematic universe?! Of course, we’re talking about Superman here -- but does Henry Cavill really appear in Venom?! Well, it’s a little more complicated than that, but not completely out of the realm of possibility. We’ve seen crossovers like this in the past and taking steps to do it in the movies can go a long way. Venom’s character reveals some secrets about its weaknesses and the character uses his super buddy as a way to describe them. Even if you’ve seen the movie, you may have missed the brief moment. Of course, Spider-Man does also make an appearance in the film, but in a much different way. By watching the post-credits scene, you can see an exclusive clip of Miles Morales and Peter Parker in the newest Spider-Man animated film. The clip acts as a post-credits scene in a whole different universe than the Venom movie -- so does Venom have more of a chance of appearing in the DCEU than the MCU?! Sony's Venom movie is in theatres right now and Tom Hardy's version of the character is showing off his super-strength, speed, agility and durability.

But did you know Venom has displayed a much larger array of superpowers in Marvel's Comic books and in other media?

In this video, we'll run you through just some of the lesser known superpowers you didn't know Venom had.

The superpowers in question are; his shapeshifting ability (which includes camouflage, the ability to look like any human, transforming into a car, creating a giant mouth on his torso, and transforming into a humanoid form even without a host), his immunity to certain powers (such as Spider-Man's Spider-sense and Ghost Rider's Penance Stare), his ability to secrete acid through his skin, his bizarre ability to emulate water (which allows him to breathe under it), his ability to suppress any cancers in his human hosts, his ability to hear "the voice of the cosmos" (which, for example, allows him to respond to distress signals in space), his ability to access the internet (quite literally - we don't just mean he can log on via his laptop), his super-teeth that enable him to bite through almost anything and are venomous, his ability to shoot off certain parts of his body, and his ability to clone the powers of other superpowered characters.

Tom Hardy is bringing Venom to the big screen in the aptly named movie “Venom” this year. The decision to even make this movie felt pretty strange to a lot of people since Venom is so intrinsically linked to Spider-Man, and Spider-Man is now sitting comfortably in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But even though Sony is doing their own thing with Venom doesn’t necessarily mean that we won’t see another version of Venom in the MCU. In fact, that version may have already been introduced! In this theory battle, we take a look at how Marvel may have sneakily already introduced the Venom symbiote into the universe of the Avengers. One of us argues that it was introduced in Spider-Man: Homecoming, and the other, in Thor: Ragnarok.

With the hotly anticipated upcoming Venom stand alone movie, fans everywhere are buzzing about Venom. How will this movie stack up to decades of comic book legend? Venom is huge, massive, out of control, and truly scary-looking, but could he ever be considered a hero?! There are clearly some truly bad things Venom has done over the years, but if you break down some of his comic book actions and traits, you will be able to see the black and white suit-wearing creature is actually a HERO! How so you ask? Well, let’s break things down for you!

Venom may have found an arch-enemy in Spider-Man, but the two have teamed up numerous times, including in both video games and comic books. Venom could spend his days looking for brains to chew up, but he chooses to feast on chocolate instead and even hands out some the goodies to children. Someone who chooses chocolate over brains is a hero in my book! Venom may have caused a lot of chaos, but he’s also been able to single-handedly stop some of the worst villains in Marvel history, including the savage six! When Spider-Man’s powers get infected all over New York City, you know you have major problems and Venom could have enjoyed the chaos but he decided to help stop them all instead. Back in the 90’s, the internet was just taking off, but Venom obviously saw the importance of everyone connecting online. This is why the character decided to do a cyber battle against Carnage and help protect the internet for everyone! Watch to see all of these heroic moments and learn a few reasons why you may be rooting for Venom in the upcoming movie and possible sequels.
