Venom is huge, massive, out of control, and truly scary-looking, but could he ever be considered a hero?! There are clearly some truly bad things Venom has done over the years, but if you break down some of his comic book actions and traits, you will be able to see the black and white suit-wearing creature is actually a HERO! How so you ask? Well, let’s break things down for you!
Venom may have found an arch-enemy in Spider-Man, but the two have teamed up numerous times, including in both video games and comic books. Venom could spend his days looking for brains to chew up, but he chooses to feast on chocolate instead and even hands out some the goodies to children. Someone who chooses chocolate over brains is a hero in my book! Venom may have caused a lot of chaos, but he’s also been able to single-handedly stop some of the worst villains in Marvel history, including the savage six! When Spider-Man’s powers get infected all over New York City, you know you have major problems and Venom could have enjoyed the chaos but he decided to help stop them all instead. Back in the 90’s, the internet was just taking off, but Venom obviously saw the importance of everyone connecting online. This is why the character decided to do a cyber battle against Carnage and help protect the internet for everyone! Watch to see all of these heroic moments and learn a few reasons why you may be rooting for Venom in the upcoming movie and possible sequels.
