The Mad Titan wiped out half of all life in the universe with a simple snap of his fingers, after having acquired all six of the incredibly powerful Infinity Stones.

In the as-yet-untitled fourth Avengers movie, however, the heroes will launch a counter-assault on the prune-chinned villain - and we're all undoubtedly very curious to find out how that will turn out for him.

In this video, we'll be theorising on the various possible ultimate destinies for Thanos are in the MCU.

The potential destinies in question include; that he'll be killed-off completely when the MCU's heroes defeat him, that he'll be defeated then imprisoned (possibly by cosmic entities) or banished somewhere, that he'll get a taste of his own medicine and be erased from existence, that he'll do what it looked like he was set to do at the end of Avengers: Infinity War and live his life out peacefully on a farm, that he'll survive and continue to be a threat to the heroes of the MCU, or that he'll actually win and come out on top in the coming battle with the Avengers and their allies.

We are waiting with extreme anticipation for the title and trailer for the upcoming fourth Avengers film. Like any big sequel, this one is wrapped in secrecy, which means the internet is having a field day conjuring up theories. Now, we know theories are a great way to set us up for disaster, just look at The Last Jedi, but this one may have some validity. It suggests that Nick Fury knew about the snap all along and that all the events in the MCU that have had felt his influence were done to steer the Avengers towards the battle with Thanos in hopes of winning. It’s been long theorized that time travel will play a role in the fourth film as a way to undo the infamous snap and that will happen with the help of the Quantum Realm, something we’ve seen in Ant-Man. That realm will likely also appear in the upcoming Captain Marvel film, which will be a prequel film set in the 90s and will feature Nick Fury in a supporting role. So these two have known each other for a while. With the foresight of the future, Fury was able to set up a team for Avengers to be prepared for a universe ending event and saved his call to Captain Marvel as a last resort as he knew the Avengers could handle Ultron, Malakeith and other MCU villains fine as he saw the future in the Quantum Realm. Once people started dusting, he knows his apocalypse was upon him and called Carol. He just didn’t know his number was up too. From there, Iron Man will have to help the Avengers get into the Quantum Realm and Captain Marvel will be the one to navigate them through space and time. Captain Marvel is on her way to the Marvel Cinematic Universe - which is an extremely exciting prospect for fans of the franchise and fans of comic books in general - and she'll make her first appearance in her 2019 solo movie.

Oscar winner Brie Larson will play the character otherwise known as Carol Danvers - and she's set to be the MCU's most powerful heroic character to date (even more powerful than the likes of Thor, Doctor Strange and Scarlet Witch!).

Her first movie will be set in the past (the 1990s, to be specific), and this video is more about what will happen with the character going forward as well as what to expect in the upcoming movie.
