Part 1: We get a lot of questions about portable solar panels. In this video we will review some of the popular options on the market. We will also test their output relative to each other and show those results. The test conditions were 42°F and sunny conditions in Ohio. The panel power output was measured directly from the panel limiting the possible differences of the control algorithm of the MPPT controller. Each panel was measured 3 times and the average power was reported. The device we used to measure the power was a Thornwave PowerMon. The battery bank had a constant load on it.
