Brie Larson's Carol Danvers will make her much-anticipated on-screen Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in next year's Captain Marvel movie - and excitement is currently higher than ever for the movie's release.
The first trailer for the movie dropped recently on Good Morning America - and it's fair to say it definitely matched our expections. The lead character in particular looks absolutely amazing!
But how will she differ from (and indeed how will she be similar to) the version we know from the comics? In this video, we'll take a look at what we know so far about that!
It doesn't look like the movie will be an origin movie - Carol Danvers will already have her powers when she crashes to Earth. Exactly what those powers will be remains to be seen - but she does seem to have similar energy-based abilities to what she has in the comics.
She will, however, be a member of the elite Kree Starforce team - which isn't the case in the comics (in fact, the Starforce were actually the enemy of a different version of Captain Marvel), so that's certainly different in the MCU.
We hope you enjoy the video! What did you think of the Captain Marvel trailer? Are you looking forward to seeing Brie Larson's character in action?
